The applicable application format for this process is “Notice for Relinquishment of Connectivity to ISTS under Regulation 24.” The Central Transmission Utility (CTU) acts as the Nodal Agency for granting and processing this approval.

Any Connectivity Grantee wishing to relinquish connectivity—either fully or partially—must submit a prior notice of at least 30 days to the Nodal Agency, in accordance with the regulations.

  1. The following entities can apply for Relinquishment of Connectivity to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS):

    • Power Generation Companies holding granted connectivity to ISTS

    • Renewable Energy Project Developers (Solar, Wind, Hybrid, etc.) with ISTS connectivity

    • Captive Power Plant Owners connected to ISTS

    • Energy Storage System Developers with approved ISTS connectivity

    • Any Connectivity Grantee approved under CERC (Connectivity and GNA to ISTS) Regulations, 2022

    • Entities seeking to relinquish connectivity fully or partially due to project modification, cancellation, or change in operational plans

    Only applicants who have been formally granted connectivity by the CTU are eligible to submit this application.
