To complete the application, the following documents are mandatory: a notarized affidavit in the prescribed format (FORMAT-AFFIDAVIT), a board resolution authorizing a designated person to file the application on behalf of the company, and approval from the Designated Authority regarding the eligibility of the Participating Entity or a copy of the relevant Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA).

  • Trading Licensees engaged in cross-border electricity trade, who intend to inject power into or draw power from the Indian Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS).
  • These entities must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in Regulation 17.1(iv) of the CERC GNA Regulations, 2022, and are typically:
  • Authorized power trading companies recognized by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC)
  • Entities having Inter-Governmental Agreements (IGA) for cross-border electricity exchange
  • Any Participating Entity approved by the Designated Authority under the cross-border framework
  • Such applicants must not be a State Transmission Utility (STU), as this certificate specifically applies to other entities under Regulation 20.2.
