EOUs are units committed to exporting their entire production of goods and services, subject to permissible Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) sales, and may undertake activities such as manufacturing, repair, reconditioning, software development, agriculture, biotechnology, floriculture, and other permitted sectors. The LoP/LoI is generally valid for 5 years and may be further extended by the Development Commissioner (DC) for another 5 years at a time, subject to applicable requirements.
