What is Approval of Submission of Technical Connection data for RE Generator/ BESS/ Thermal/ Hydro/ Nuclear Generating Stations including Pumped Storage Projects (PSP)/ Bulk Consumer/ Distribution Licensee/ Transmission Licensee (FORMAT-CONN-TD-1/2/3/TSP)
This approval is required by Connectivity grantees (referred in Approval applicability/trigger section below) and Inter/Intra-State transmission licensee seeking interconnection to Inter State Transmission System Grid and is mandated as per the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Connectivity and General Network Access to the Inter-State Transmission System) Regulations, 2022 and Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Indian Electricity Grid Code) Regulations, 2023. “Submission of Technical Connection Data to be furnished for signing of Connectivity Agreement to ISTS” is the applicable form for this approval. The nodal agency for this approval is the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL). This approval is required by generating station(s), including REGS(s), with or without ESS, with an installed capacity of 50 MW and above individually or with an aggregate installed capacity of 50 MW and above through a Lead Generator or a Lead ESS; captive generating plant with capacity for injection to ISTS of 50 MW and above; standalone ESS with an installed capacity of 50 MW and above; Renewable Power Park Developer; REGS or standalone ESS with an installed capacity of 5 MW and above applying for grant of Connectivity to ISTS through the electrical system of a generating station already having Connectivity to ISTS, provided that such entity has an agreement with the said generating station to share its electrical system and dedicated transmission lines, if any; a distribution licensee or a bulk consumer seeking to connect directly to ISTS with a load of 50 MW and above; and Inter/Intra-State transmission licensee seeking interconnection to the ISTS Grid.
